Terrelle Pryor is Trying to Become Eligible For The NFL Supplemental Draft

Ohio State is denying claims by Terrelle Pryor’s attorney that Pryor told the NCAA in May about additional violations he committed while in the Buckeyes’ program.

Pryor is trying to establish eligibility for the NFL Supplemental Draft, which means he has to show that he would not have been eligible to play at Ohio State if he’d remained in school.

By admitting that he received financial assistance from his mentor, Ted Sarniak, he would have violated the NCAA’s directive that he distance himself from Sarniak.

Ohio State, however, says that if Pryor continued to have dealings with Sarniak, neither OSU nor the NCAA was aware of it. However, ESPN reporter Chris Mortensen says ESPN has obtained documents confirming that in a May 20 meeting, Pryor supplied the NCAA with bank records.

“Terrelle was fully forthcoming and subsequently provided the documents that were requested to support the disclosure,” his attorney, David Cornwell told ESPN. “The NCAA has a procedure where they can automatically audit bank accounts of student-athletes who are on financial aid.
