Tim Tebow will officially be a member of the Denver Broncos until at least 4 p.m. Saturday due to a snag in the trade that shipped him to the New York Jets on Wednesday, according to ESPN.com.
Tebow was traded to the Jets on Wednesday. There were some details that reportedly put a snag in the deal for eight hours before it was made official later that day. Now, there’s another snag.
ESPN reports that Tebow has to sign a rewritten contract with the Broncos on Friday and remain on Denver’s salary cap for 24 hours after. As a result, the Jets won’t introduce Tebow as the newest member of the team until Monday.
Tebow was in New York on Thursday but the contract issue prevented the Jets from making things final and carrying out a press conference.
