Mo Williams has been actively mentioned in trade rumours including being shipped to the Toronto Raptors for Jose Calderon.
Today Mo Williams Tweeted the following in a plea attempt to stay with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
“Pls don’t trade me,” wrote Williams on his Twitter page. “I’m not ready to go. I’m begging. My work ain’t done yet. I’m on both knees….pls. I’m serious.”
Mo Williams also said if he was traded to the Cavaliers they would win. Well that didn’t happen so how serious can his claims be? To me this sounds like a pathetic attempt in the wrong place. Why wouldn’t he setup a meeting with the team? Twitter has brought the average fan into the lives of their favourite players. Unfortunately once you tweet something it’s fair game for the media to rip apart your comments, ask Chris Bosh!
Earlier in the year he found himself in a bit of a mess tweeting about where he should go, only to rephrase his question to “should I stay or should I go”.
Does Mo Williams have inside information that LeBron James is staying? If not it would seem pretty stupid of him to tweet something like that because the Cavaliers would be rebuilding and potentially headed for the lottery. If he knew LeBron was staying he would be smarter to phone LeBron James up telling him his thoughts on why he wants to stay because LeBron would be about the only person with enough power to change a GM’s decision on trading him.
Either way Mo Wiliams looks like a baby begging to stay to the twitter community. I wonder if LeBron leaves what his tweets will be like? Demanding a trade to a contender most likely.
