July 1st is quickly approaching and it feels like everything to do with the topic of free agency is revolvedaround LeBron James and where he decides to go. All we currently know is come July 1st, LeBron will be meeting with six different teams to discuss his future. The most interesting to talk about is his first meeting with Jay-Z and Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorovt to join the New Jersey Nets. The Nets are hoping that James’ relationship with the rap legend Jay-Z will cement his decision to come to New Jersey. Expect billionaire Mikhail Prokhorovt to try to woo  James by demonstrating to him the potential of  developing an even greater global influence for his brand.

Whether this approach to appeal to James’ desire for money, fame and brand recognition will be enough to convince him to come to New Jersey depends entirely on whether LeBron feels he can win a championship in this environment. He has stated multiple times that winning an NBA Championship will be his key deciding factor. If Jay-Z and Prokhorovt can convince him that this would be possible in New Jersey I could see why LeBron would want to go there.

 Everyone is watching and waiting to see what LeBron decides to do. Will Chris Bosh follow him? Will he go to play with friend and fellow Olympian Dwayne Wade in Miami? The sequence of events that will unfold on July 1st will mark many new beginnings for players, teams, coaches and fans. Who will be the first to make their move? It will be  exciting to finally find out what moves are going to be made and how this will change the NBA as we know it today.
