The Chicago Blackhawks traded away one of their top post season performers to the Atlanta Thrashers in an effort to free up cap space. I was surprised to see the Blackhawks trade away the player who scored three game-winners in the conference finals against San Jose.
This is a great pick up for Atlanta; they could definitely use Byfuglien’s experience. Byfuglien scored 11 goals in the post season and was a huge contributor to the success of the Blackhawks this season.
I suppose only time will tell if Chicago made the right move or not.
